Description

The tufted hairgrass is a warm season clumping grass that grows 4' tall with airy summer flowery plumes. This grass tolerates partial shade and heavy clay soils. It is good in waterside plantings and meadows. The tufted hairgrass is native to California and is a beneficial insect plant. It prefers moist soil and shade from afternoon sun.
