Description

This shrub quickly reaches 1'-2' tall and 2' wide. It is covered with a profusion of clear yellow, 1" wide flower heads mostly in spring but also in fall. It has a low mounded form, used as a groundcover.. Leaves 2" long and 8" wide and light green. It is stress deciduous (will lose leaves if water insufficient). It needs full sun and well drained soils. It is drought tolerant but will do better with extra summer water. Shear in fall to tidy up and create a bushier appearance.

Water Saving Tip:

Change spray sprinklers to low-flow bubbler or drip systems. Shrubs and trees are ideal candidates for this type of irrigation because the water is applied directly to the root zones.
