Description

This dramatic looking iris reaches 3' tall and has large, royal blue, ruffled flowers in spring. These scented flowers prefer full or part sun with well draining soil. It needs a moderate amount of water. It tolerates ocean spray and is deer resistant. It does better if fertilized 3 times a year: in spring at time of new growth, right after bloom period and then in fall. This is a show stopper.

Water Saving Tip:

Replace turf with groundcovers, trees, and shrubs. If you have areas where no one uses the grass, patches that do not grow well, or a turf area too small to water without runoff, consider replacing the turf with water-efficient landscaping.
