Description

Burford Holly reaches 10'-15' tall and 10' wide. This evergreen shrub has an upright form with glossy, dark green, prickly pointed leaves. Bright red berries are seen in winter and may last for months, attracting birds. This fruit can occur without pollination. It makes a great privacy hedge. It tolerates ocean spray. Small white flowers appear in spring. It prefers full to part sun, with medium amount of watering and more in hot summer areas.

Water Saving Tip:

Replace turf with groundcovers, trees, and shrubs. If you have areas where no one uses the grass, patches that do not grow well, or a turf area too small to water without runoff, consider replacing the turf with water-efficient landscaping.
