Japanese Pagoda Tree, Chinese Schol |
The Japanese Pagoda Tree is a deciduous tree that grows to 50'-70' tall with a round head and gray brown furrowed bark. In the late summer, lovely panicles of white flowers appear. Yellow green seed pods appear in fall and winter, looking like a beaded necklace. Foliage is dark green and divided into leaflets. This is a great shade or street tree. It prefers full to part sun with medium watering.
