Description

The 'Bloodgood' is a fast-growing, deciduous tree that reaches a size 40'-80' high by 30'-40' wide. Its leaves are 3-5 lobed, with a width of 4-10", and dark green. This plant is tolerant of most soils, heat and drought. It is resistant to Anthracnose. Leaves turn yellow in the fall but is not considered attractive. Flowers are red but insignificant. Its bark is patchy and exfoliating, revealing olive green, cream and or light brown colors. This is a great park tree.

Water-wise plants can be beautiful as well as practical.

Take your 'My List' Hydrozone Report to a landscape designer, or local nursery, when selecting and purchasing plants.
