This very hardy tree usually has a straight tall gray colored, fissured trunk. It can tolerate urban conditions. Use as a specimen or for a privacy hedge. Brown cones appear on the tree. It can be grown in full to part sun with well draining soil. It needs a moderate amount of watering. A beautiful conifer for an alpine or woodland setting.
