Description

Escallonia 'Newport Dwarf' is an evergreen shrub with glossy leaves. Grows 2.5 ft. tall and 4 ft. wide, with deep pink to red flowers in summer. It can be grown in full sun but will need afternoon shade in hot inland valleys. It needs moderate water. It has a mounded habit and looks great in an Asian or woodland style garden.

Water Saving Tip:

Replace turf with groundcovers, trees, and shrubs. If you have areas where no one uses the grass, patches that do not grow well, or a turf area too small to water without runoff, consider replacing the turf with water-efficient landscaping.
