Description

Microbiota decussata is an evergreen groundcover that neatly sprawls around resembling a trailing arborvitae. Grows to 1.5' tall, 7'-8' wide, with many horizontal or trailing plume-like branches closely set with scale-like leaves. This groundcover is beautiful under trees as it likes filtered sun. It cascades gracefully down hillsides. Foliage is bright green and scale like, turning coppery in fall with cold weather.

Water Saving Tip:

Change spray sprinklers to low-flow bubbler or drip systems. Shrubs and trees are ideal candidates for this type of irrigation because the water is applied directly to the root zones.
