Desert Zinnia |
This hardy perennial grows in a mound, reaching 10" tall and15" wide. Profuse white flowers with yellow centers appear spring through fall. In summer, plant becomes semi-woody and petals become papery and light tan colored. Desert Zinnia prefers full sun and well-draining soil. It is drought tolerant once it's established but does better with some supplemental summer water. Foliage is gray-green and needle-like with sharp tips.
