The Soquel Coast Redwood is an evergreen tree that quickly reaches 70'-90' tall and 14'-30' wide. This tree has bluish-green, fine textured foliage with branchlets that slightly turn up at the end of the horizontal branches. This CA native prefers full sun in coastal areas but needs afternoon shade in warm inland valleys. It needs moist, acidic, well draining soil. Cones appear in spring.
