Rosemary is hardy in full sun areas where winter temperatures do not drop below 10 degrees F. Rosemary is evergreen and makes a great aromatic hedge, 4'-6' tall and 2' wide. Foliage is used in cooking. Blue flowers appear in summer. This plant is drought tolerant once it's established. Bees love Rosemary!

This evergreen vine has dark green leaves with pale green veins. When mature, clusters of small green flowers will bloom followed by black berries. English Ivy is considered invasive in some areas. It is beautiful in hanging baskets, as a ground cover or on difficult shady hillsides.

Blue Oak is a deciduous tree that has a slow growth rate and reaches 30'-50' tall. It develops 2" long, lobed blue-green leaves. Blue Oak is very drought tolerant, is native to California and attracts butterflies. Because of its slow growth, it can be used for bonsai. Flowers are insignificant. Acorns were used by California Natives for food.

A dense growing tree, the Pomegranate produces showy, orange-red flowers in spring, followed by 2" diameter edible red berries. Its apple-green leaves are about 1" long and .5" wide, glossy, and deciduous. It can be trimmed to a shrub size. It reaches 3'-10' tall. It prefers full to part sun. It needs occasional deep watering once it's established. Overwatering promotes fungal problems.
