This evergreen perennial has white-margined, thin strap-like leaves and rosy-lavender-pink flowers that bloom in spring and summer. Foliage has a garlic odor when bruised. Plant in full sun and give moderate amount of water. This plant reaches 1'-2' tall and wide.

The 'Elijah Blue' is a lovely ground cover grass with silver blue foliage that quickly reaches 12" tall and wide. This evergreen grass has golden flowers that bloom in summer. However, 'Elijah Blue' is grown for its foliage. Plant in full sun in coastal areas; in warm inland areas, it should receive afternoon shade to prevent it from turning brown. It is drought tolerant once it's established. It prefers well draining soil.

This magnificient plant can used as a small tree or shrub. It is deciduous with graceful leaves which have a scarlet color in spring as it leafs out. Leaves later turn orange or yellow in fall. It is slow growing to 20', and requires shelter from the hot sun. The leaves of this tree are small, light green in color, and deeply lobed. Japanese Boxwood is often used as a hedge. It is compact, with small bright green leaves. It can reach 4-6' tall and wide or be kept smaller through pruninig. It can be sheared to shape. It does better in areas with milder winters. It prefers full sun and a moderate amount of water.

This beautiful tree reaches 10' tall and wide, growing at a moderate pace. Acer needs afternoon shade in hot inland areas and regular watering and more during hot summer months. It prefers acid, well draining soil. Leaves are dissected, with an overall weeping habit. Foliage is burgundy in spring, changing to red in fall before dropping. This is a spectacular tree for Asian style gardens.
