Compact Lacy Nandina

Botanical name:Nandina domestica 'Compacta'

The dwarf heavenly bamboo is an evergreen shrub that grows 4'-5' tall and 3' wide. It has green and bronze foliage that turns red in the winter. Red berries appear in fall and winter. It is resistant to oak root fungus and hardy to 10 degrees F. Small white flowers appear in spring. It prefers full to part sun with a moderate amount of watering, more during hot summer areas. It is deer resistant and looks great in woodland theme gardens.

Bradford Callery Pear

The 'Bradford' is a deciduous tree that grows to a size of 30'-50' tall. Profuse clusters of single white flowers bloom in the spring from noticeably sweeping branches. Glossy green leaves turn maroon in the fall. This tree needs to be pruned regularly to maintain a pleasing shape; thin overcrowded interior branches to prevent splitting.

A tall, deciduous tree of upright, pyramidal habit, the liquidambar has dark green, maple-like leaves that turn beautiful shades of red and yellow in the fall season. It can be used as a single specimen, hedge, or grouped plant. Seedpods are spiky and create litter.

White Lily of the Nile

This cultivar of Agapanthus africanus is the same as the Lily of the Nile except it blooms white flowers, not blue. It will grow in all soils but prefers loam soil.

Early Sunrise Coreopsis/Tickseed

The 'Early Sunrise' is a wonderful cultivar and showy, southern U.S. native. Semi-double, deep yellow flowers that flush to orange-yellow near the center on 18" tall bushy plants bloom from June to September in full sun and average to dry soils. It makes for good cut flowers, and pruning keeps the plants abundant with blooms. -Holland WIldflower Farm

These summer-blooming perennials form clumps with large, grass-like leaves. Its showy flowers, resembling lilies, are borne in clusters on stems held well above the foliage. Daylilies can be found in many colors: yellow, orange, red, purple, pink or multi-colored. Hemerocallis does better in well-draining soil and with extra summer water. Hemerocallis are very hardy,with few or none pests/problems.
