Description

This beautiful deciduous tree reaches 40'-60' tall and 20'-25' wide. Lobed green leaves turn wine red to purple red in fall, quite a show. Spiny fruit appear in fall and can create litter. This is a great tree for parks. It prefers full sun and a moderate amount of water.

Water Saving Tip:

Replace turf with groundcovers, trees, and shrubs. If you have areas where no one uses the grass, patches that do not grow well, or a turf area too small to water without runoff, consider replacing the turf with water-efficient landscaping.
