Description
This deciduous tree reaches 35'-75 tall' and 25'-35' wide with an open crown. Leaves are actually green oval leaflets, turning gold in fall. Foliage creates a sun dappled shade. Small greenish white insignificant flowers appear in spring, followed by long dark brown pods in summer and fall. It tolerates full sun. Soak twice monthly during the heat of summer in low desert areas. Drought tolerant as well as soil adaptable. Trunk and branches have long thorns.
